Bio
Hello, my name is Viviana Aguirre and I am the third grade teacher at St. Luke Catholic School this year. I am very excited to begin this new journey. I feel very blessed to be able to be part of this amazing learning community.
I completed all my coursework to be a teacher at California State University, Fullerton and have worked in various educational settings throughout my teaching career. Before St. Luke, I ran the literacy intervention program at my previous school for grades Kindergarten-3rd. I taught multiple subjects in grades TK-8th as well as preschool and Special Education. Before teaching, I was a special education aide and worked 1:1 with students to be able to meet their behavioral, emotional, and academic needs. I have
worked extensively in diverse communities to be able to support English Learners.
I enjoy teaching and truly find it to be a profession that is very rewarding. I am an active listener, advocate for educational equity, and am very compassionate. I have a student-first focus and believe building and maintaining positive relationships with students and families is vital to their education. I encourage my students to self-advocate and to always do their best no matter what obstacles they come to face. I look forward to working with you this school year!
