Bio

I am Mrs. De Castro. I will be the science teacher of St. Luke Catholic School. This will be an amazing year for me. There are so many things to experiment and discover about our world. This makes students excited about science. I am here to help children continue to wonder and explore in order to love to learn.

Through my interest in interacting with children, I took up the degree Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Secondary Education major in General Science. I have a California Multiple Subject Teaching Clear Credential and a certificate in Crosscultural, Language and Academic Development. My out-of-the-country university preparation made it possible for me to have a professional teaching license and an out-of-the-state teaching certificate.

All my teaching years in California have been in catholic schools. For over twenty years, I have been helping children become faith-filled, critical thinkers, service-oriented, and caretakers of the environment. Grateful for all the opportunities given to me, the one I treasure the most is being able to prepare students to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion.

Apart from the above, I am a mother of one. My son is student at Cal Poly Pomona for Computer Engineering. Mr. De Castro is an electrical engineer. I would say I could relate with the parents and their sacrifices out of love.
